Selected list of initiatives and projects that I have worked on

Led a team of 7 in organizing AI for Research Week 2024, defining event scope, managing logistics, and overseeing speaker recruitment.
Co-facilitated two hands-on workshops:
- Try it Together: Transcribe Your Audio with Whisper API – guiding participants through real-time transcription using the Whisper API.
- Try it together - AI-powered search tools: Elicit, SciSpace, Connected Papers, Researchrabbit, and Undermind.ai - with co-instructors Aaron Tay and Ooi Kooi Cheng. We demonstrated advanced AI tools for improving research workflows and literature discovery.

One of the four founding member of the SMU Researcher Club, focused on fostering a collaborative research community.
Curate and organize events, workshops, and initiatives to engage researchers, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote interdisciplinary collaboration within SMU.

Led a team of 8 in organizing the Generate Your L(AI)brary Hackathon 2023, overseeing the event’s scope, theme development, judge and mentor recruitment, and comprehensive planning.
Conducted an introductory Python workshop to equip participants with foundational skills in preparation for the hackathon.
